Moab.... where adventure begins.

Woke up outside of Green River Utah, drove straight to Moab.   Stay at a campground and did laundry and showered for the first time.  Headed over to Poison Spider with a rough idea of what the map of the area looked like.

We ran into these guys on vintage bikes several times throughout the afternoon just givin er!

We quite a few people throughout the day all giving us information on the difficulty of what was ahead. People would say: "If you can get past the giant crack then it'll be smooth sailing" so we blindly pushed on and got past the crack after another wipeout and turned the corner only to see a 9 foot wall of rock with tire tracks and oil from broken jeeps all over the place. We built a small jump/ramp at the bottom of this wall and ended up jumping the bikes up and just barely landing on top without falling back down.

We got kinda lost for an hour or so searching and running into dead ends/cliffs/gourges everywhere so finally we ditched the bikes and hiked around looking for the trail. We ended up finding where we wanted to go and soon after ran into a group of 4 mountain bikers. We were relieved to see someone again finally, and to reassure us we were on the right trail. They were going to keep going the way we came.

An hour or so later guess who we ran into pedaling away up a huge hill towards us.... Haha they did a big loop! A little frustrated and sweaty they continued on but light was fading and decided to head back out to the highway where we met again.

We checked out Gemini Bridges.

We met a Calgarian Air Canada Pilot back at the campsite.  He was a fellow rider and a great guy to talk to.
