Outrunning rain to Cusco.

January 4, 2014  A random mountainside to Cusco, Peru. 360km.

We woke up to a spectacular view.

We rode on to Abancay.  Its a good thing we didnt try the night before.  It was an intense gravel road down the mountain.  In Peru you never know what kind of road conditions are ahead.

We motored on, racing a thunderstorm to Cusco. Up another mountain and then all the way back down. We both decided we were getting sick of switch backs and corners.... Who would have thought coming from Albertan roads.. Finally coming into Cusco we had a few straight flat sections which felt much better finally seeing the speedometor get over 100...

We stayed in a decent hostel/hotel in Cusco for 50 soles for a 2 bed.  We had to drive our bikes through the lobby to park them!
